What you will learn

Practice this visual check: First arrange three wheel centers along the same baseline, and then connect the large car box above the rear two wheels.

Shapes and proportions

First arrange three round wheels, one in front and two in back, along the horizontal line. The front wheels are connected to the cab, and the rear wheels are connected to a large quadrilateral box, and vertical strips are used to separate the side panels and the beveled tailgate.

A common mistake

If the positions of the rear three wheels cannot be clearly distinguished, the carriage will easily hang in the air or press against the center of the wheels.

How to fix it

First arrange three wheel centers along the same baseline, and then connect the large car box above the rear two wheels.

These three images are key-stage previews: the starting shape, the completed outline, and a new crayon color study. Follow the complete drawing sequence in LittlePaper. On paper, leave room around the first shape for the parts added later.

A few things to start with

Paper, pencil or black drawing pen, eraser, and crayons or colored pencils for color matching for this lesson.

The garbage truck body is green, the cab is milky white, the three tires are charcoal gray, and the windows are light blue. Apply the color first with light pressure, leaving the black outline, and then compare pairs of parts using the same color.
