What you will learn

Practice this visual check: Draw the two balls in front first, then stack the third ball on top of the back, so that the cup mouth covers the lower edge of the ball.

Shapes and proportions

Use the upper and lower arcs to form a wide and shallow bowl shape. Add an oval base below, stack three round arc-shaped ice cream balls on the bowl, and add round fruits, wavy sauce and diagonally long cookie sticks.

A common mistake

If three ice cream balls are the same size and placed side by side, the cup will not fit.

How to fix it

Draw the two balls in front first, then stack the third ball on top of the back, so that the cup mouth covers the lower edge of the ball.

These three images are key-stage previews: the starting shape, the completed outline, and a new crayon color study. Follow the complete drawing sequence in LittlePaper. On paper, leave room around the first shape for the parts added later.
