What you will learn

Practice this visual check: First draw a large arch arc, and the subsequent arcs always follow the same direction, retaining similar bandwidth.

Shapes and proportions

The arc bush first locates the left and right foreground. In the mid-ground, low curves are used to arrange the hillside and clouds are distributed in the sky. Multiple large concentric arcs are used to connect the left and right and add small expressions.

A common mistake

If the distance between the inner and outer arcs of the rainbow suddenly widens and then narrows, the ribbons will be squeezed into sharp corners.

How to fix it

First draw a large arch arc, and the subsequent arcs always follow the same direction, retaining similar bandwidth.

These three images are key-stage previews: the starting shape, the completed outline, and a new crayon color study. Follow the complete drawing sequence in LittlePaper. On paper, leave room around the first shape for the parts added later.

A few things to start with

Select the color of the part to complete the crayon draft

The rainbow is in the order of red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, with two kinds of green for the front and rear shrubs, and white clouds. Apply the color first with light pressure, leaving the black outline, and then compare pairs of parts using the same color.
